In case you’re still confused about where you are, what all this is, and why this weird, snaggle-toothed blond guy is all over the place, well… this is a site dedicated to a series of cosmic-horror novels I’m working to self publish, with The North Iron Star as the first installment!
Please excuse the mess—! Things came together a bit slap-dash since it was a bit of a crazy month… End of August, I had just finished and submitted a short story for a local anthology project and it occurred to me that my author bio for that might be a good jumping off point for advertising a website! I knew I wanted to make one eventually, but I know that as I near the completion of my book, every marketing opportunity is going to be imperative. So, if you’re here because you enjoyed The Mountain King, then everything is going according to plan!
Or maybe you’re here because of my posts on Instagram. I assume that will likely be my greatest source of traffic for the time being. And, if you are a fellow ‘grammer, then I assume you’re at least a little privy to the gauntlet I went through trying to pull this all together. Phew!
But regardless of where you came from or why you’re here, welcome, welcome, welcome! I’m so excited to share my creative visions, however crazy, whether you’re a curious wanderer or a future reader!
Right now, I know there’s not much to behold beyond some shoddily put together portraits. Unfortunately, September was the perfect storm of chaos with family coming to visit, so between cleaning the house and entertaining them, I ended up with only a week to fill out all of the art I needed. As you can see, there’s still more to do.
But, I am hopeful that you’ll keep checking back! As promised, I intend to polish up (if not outright replace some of the art) but more importantly, I will also be incrementally uploading some free to read, web-exclusive mini-chapters that should hopefully help hint at what the first installment in the series will contain! The stories that will tie into the banner should be especially enlightening in terms of illustrating the gist of how the book will feel. I am hoping that those should arrive within the next couple of months, but it should certainly happen before the year’s end.
On that note, I’ll be honest; it’s a large book (or a tome, as some might say, lol) with an intricate story that weaves through time and space. At times you may chuckle, at times, you may feel terrified, and if I’ve really done a good job, then you may even cry a little. 😉
My hope is that it will be published in 2025. Most likely, it will be closer toward the end of the year. But, I will be posting consistent updates. Sometimes, this may be in the form of news pertaining to my progress, other times it may be a new art installment (I have a lot of ideas for more complex and interesting pieces so keep an eye out for the gallery) and sometimes, it may be some snippets of writing. So drop in every now and again, for there may be something new and interesting!
